The day started with hope of a tantalising contest but Stuart Clark made it a no contest with a five-for. He hit a nagging length, persisted with a probing line, cut the ball both ways and produced mistakes from the batsmen. One by one they went down. Lee didn't allow them to breath easy either and picked couple of crucial top order wickets. Mitchell Johnson and MacGill were pretty disappointing, couldn't apply any pressure but the damage had already been done by the new-ball bowlers. The tail wagged but by then, it was all over bar the shouting. Australia have won the first Test of this series.

West Indies have flattered to deceive. For four days they matched Australia for blow for blow but just stumbled at the end. No one will forget Chanderpaul's courage after he continued batting after taking a sickening blow on his head. And all in all, we have had a fascinating Test match.

Sarwan: I thought we played well through out the match, the bowlers bowled very well in the second innings to give us a chance but it didn't go our way. Our fielding was outstanding. There are lots of positives to take from this match. Fidel bowled very well and Shiv's hundred. We have to learn from his knock. Hopefully Gayle and Taylor can get fit for the next Test.

Ponting: It was a hard fought Test match. For the first two days we dominated but West Indies came back strongly on the third day. I thought Andrew Symonds' innings yesterday was very crucial and then Clark and Lee were very good. As we saw in the second innings, West Indies have a very capable bowling attack. Chanderpaul's innings was outstanding. They have two players who might be fit for the next Test and hopefully we will have another good Test match. The atmosphere right through this Test match was great and that's why we Australians love playing here. We played really well today, didn't give any easy runs.

Man of the Match: Stuart Clark : "The wicket was good for bowling; it was up and down. I just think it was my day today. Mitchell and Macgill bowled well." ... Asked whether he prefers the new ball: "It's hard, new and bouncy. Of course I prefer that. But whatever the team needs. It's Ricky's decision!

And that's it from us. On behalf of my scorers Srinivas Raju and Raghav, this is Sriram Veera, your commentator for this game, saying good bye and good luck. Thanks for logging on for the last five days. Join us for the second Test.

MacGill to AS Jaggernauth, OUT

Australia have won by 95 runs. Jaggernauth goes for a first-ball duck. It spun in to him, past the bat and bounded off the pad to short leg. No bat there, definitely. Aussies appeal very confidently and Tiffin raised his finger. That's that. Game over.

MacGill to Powell, OUT

MacGill gets his first wicket. Powell stands there for a brief moment before he walks away. It was a loopy flighted one, turning from the middle stump, Powell goes for a drive and the tv replay doesn't show an edge. There must have been sound for the umpire to have given it. Many a time, the replays don't show such edges, we need a snickometer or the hot spot.

Lee to Powell, (no ball)

full again, just outside off and it keeps low, Powell crouches to keep it out. It's a no ball. Lee wants to know how much he had overstepped and the umpire gives him the bad news.
