10.50pm Perth Scorchers complete a lovely turnaround win after a disastrous start to beat Sydney Thunder by 30 runs. Chasing 176, Thunder always struggled. Russell provided plenty of fireworks during his innings, but once he was dismissed, it was always going to be very hard. Scorchers bowlers were good as usual and professional in victory.

Cameron Bancroft is the Man of the Match: "Been lucky to play in the same club team as Hoggy, and easier to pick him. Was happy to rotate the strike, rubbed off the confidence of the other hitters in the team. You can't take any game for granted. Got to take momentum to our last home game of the summer. "
