Rahkeem Cornwall, Player of the Match: The pitch was really good. (on celebration) Today is my son's birthday. I dedicate my hundred to my two sons; they back me from day one. I always back myself to give the team a good start. (crowd) keep me going, especially every time I hit a six, they cheering hard. I just had to give something to them to cheer about. I think once I got past the half stage, I think I could go big. I would say thanks for the support (to the fans) and thanks to my family.

Sherfane Rutherford, Patriots Captain: I think catches win matches (on Cornwall dropped catch). We didn't stick to our plans for too long. On a good wicket, you don't wanna give chances to batters. It was a good score but as I said catches win matches. (On Cornwall's innings) We know that if you don't out him in the powerplay, he is gonna score runs. He played an exceptional innings. Credit goes to him, as I said it's a good wicket, he actually took the game away from us. We have a few days off, just stay positive that's the most we can do. Nothing is guaranteed so we just need to keep a good mindset, stick together and anything can happen. There is nothing to lose.

Rovman Powell, Barbados Royals Captain: It was an excellent feeling (to win). It ended up as our top chase, credit must be given to the guys. I expected the innings (from Cornwall) but the longevity of it is what I didn't expect. For him to go so long, it's remarkable. It was a fantastic knock, one of the best I have ever seen. To be honest, I think the guys didn't bowl according to plans. We set a off side field, and the balls go on leg side and when we set the field on leg side, they ball on off side; that's something we need to work on. It's good that we have few days off and we need to work on these areas. I think there is a room for other options as a captain.

Phew. What a game this was. It was Cornball all the way! Absolute carnage with the bat and a forgettable day for bowlers. Given how Royals' top order had been struggling before this game, not many would have imagined they will gun down this massive target and that too with eight wickets in hand and eleven balls to spare. Rahkeem Cornwall entertained the crowd royally with a century that will be remembered for ages in Barbados! The big man was unstoppable today, and his bat-drop celebration has to be one of the best in CPL!

Drakes to Athanaze, FOUR runs

Nicely steered down to deep backward point boundary and Barbados Royals have chased down this mammoth total in style

Breado: "Season already over for STKNP."

Quiet1: "@Breado I understand the liability in the field discussion but come on atleast acknowledge the fact that he does bowl (look at the first innings). In fact, commentators have been complaining that Powell should bowl him more often."

Howell to Athanaze, 1 run

Round the wicket, shorter and spinning in from outside off, worked off the pads behind square on the leg side

Howell to Powell, 1 run

On a length outside off, driven on the up towards mid-off

Howell to Powell, no run

On the backfoot, forces it towards mid-off and the bowler gets in the way, got his hand to it, Powell is livid with himself

Howell to Powell, 2 runs

Full bunger on the pads, clipped away to Linde at deep midwicket and he gets two more giddy sprinting runs

Howell to Powell, SIX runs

That's more like it! Smoked over the bowler's head for a massive six into the stands. 108 meters hit, another one for the biggest sixes list. They need to finish this game quickly to improve their net-run-rate which suffered a huge blow after they were skittled out for 61 earlier this week

Varun: "Cornwall's weight is gonna keep him from making a ton of money. Lots of batting talent and can bowl as well but franchises wont pick him due to fears over his fitness"

Breado: "Cornwall does not bowl and is a liability in the field. This is his only good innings in 6 matches and let's be frank"

Howell to Athanaze, 1 run

Round the wicket, tossed up on the pads, flicked away to deep square

1st over rate penalty imposed so one fielder from the deep has to come inside the ring

Over the wicket to Athanaze, on a length and not much spin, thick edge skews away to third man who shows some soccer skills to stop the ball and then jumps over the advertising hoardings so he doesn't crash onto the board as Powell starts to limp because of his hamstring issue

Linde to Powell, 1 run

Tossed up right up to the toes on middle, driven inside out towards long-off

Linde to Powell, 2 runs

Rams the yorker into the blockhole, digs it out to wide long-on

Cornwall leaves the field and is retied hurt but not before putting his team in the driver's seat. The entire crowd is up on their feet and he acknowledges the applause.

Thomas to Powell, (no ball) OUT

That's a double-whammy! Attempts a yorker and not only he strays on the pads but also oversteps as Powell flicks it away past backward square for a boundary. Patriots shooting themselves in the foot
