Falcons vs Trinbago, 7th Match at North Sound, CPL, Aug 20 2025 - Ball by Ball Commentary

Springer the hero with the ball, and the Falcons go 3-0 against the Knight Riders in the CPL! What a game, and the crowd in Antigua have gotten their money's worth! Pin-point yorker zinged into leg stump. Pollard gets this away on the leg side, but it is not enough for the Knight Riders to get past the finish line. They fall short by eight runs, despite Pollard pulling out all the stops towards the end, and the Falcons, who seemed down and out at different stages of this game, have prevailed for the third time in as many games against the most-decorated franchise in the CPL!

Pollard cannot clear the fence, and the crowd roars! They know what this means. Pollard and TKR know too. This is a low full toss just outside off. Pollard cannot snap his wrists under it and tugs it towards deep mid wicket

banged into the track outside off, and this seems to come off slower than Pollard expects. He swings at it with all he has, but only grabs a handful of fresh air

four to finish the over! And Pollard has hauled this game back! Another missed yorker outside off. Pollard can get under it and even though he does not middle it, he somehow bunts it over extra cover. Superb ball-striking!

that is another massive hit! Pollard turning back the clock now! Off-pace again and this ends up being a half-tracker outside off. Pollard picks it up early and demolishes it over deep mid wicket!

six more! Pollard continues to fight! Slot ball outside off, and Pollard says thank you very much. He sits deep in his crease and whips it over square leg!

Pollard winds up and blasts it down the ground towards long on, who slides across but seems to touch the cushion while in contact with the ball. There are a few moving parts here, with Seales (from long on) and Allen (from long off) also running into each other a little. The initial effort looks fine, but Seales seems to be in contact with the rope while trying to pick it up and throw. The third umpire does not think so, though, and he has saved three!
