1.6 to AC Gilchrist, and he's gone! A tame end, Gilchrist half-poking at one just outside off stump with no footwork, and looks on as the inside-edge is dragged back onto his stumps, he was trying to leave the ball but didn't do so well at all, first strike to Asif and the Chargers. 9/1 5.1 to VVS Laxman, gone through him! Asif strikes again, pitching a tad fuller just outside off stump and bringing it into to a leaden-footed Laxman, who plays all over it with his ugly attempt of a flick, the thinnest of inside-edges splaying the stumps. 23/2
Farveez Maharoof | 4 | 0 | 36 | 2 | 9.00 | 10 | 3 | 2 | 1 | 0 |
7.6 to Y Venugopal Rao, now who didn't see this coming! A frustrated Venu makes room and drives inside-out over cover but straight down Dhawan's throat out on the boundary, and he didn't have to move a bit. 36/3 9.2 to A Symonds, edged and taken and thats a big wicket for Maharoof! Symonds doesn't move his feet much as he goes fishing to one back of a length and Karthik dives to his right to pluck a good low catch. 45/4
Yo Mahesh | 4 | 0 | 35 | 1 | 8.75 | 7 | 3 | 1 | 0 | 1 |
19.2 to AS Yadav, it goes a bit quite as Yadav gets under a shortish one and mistimes the flat-batted attempt to Gambhir in the covers, who doesn't have to do much. 129/8
Rajat Bhatia | 4 | 0 | 27 | 2 | 6.75 | 9 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
12.1 to Shahid Afridi, and he strikes first ball, would you believe? Bhatia pitches on about middle and leg, Afridi gets across to try and scoop it away to fine leg, misses, and umpire Saheba lifts up the finger as it looks like it would have taken out leg stump .. a good call, as I've just seen replays.. 60/5 18.4 to RG Sharma, well held out on the ropes, as Sharma walks down and hammers the low full toss off the toe end of the bat out to McGrath at deep midwicket. 123/7 |

3.3 to G Gambhir, edged and gone! Gambhir goes for a flashy cut outside off stump, pretty wild attempt, to a fairly average short ball and Gilchrist gleefully accepts the catch. 31/1
