11.30pm And that is that. Mumbai move up to second, but they've played nine games while Delhi at No. 3 have only played six. It's that time of the IPL when teams move up and down the table like they're playing snakes and ladders, but there's a clear whiff of momentum about Mumbai at this moment. Rising Pune Supergiants, on the other hand, need to find some form, and find it soon. Hope you've enjoyed our coverage. Do join us for the rest of the tournament, and the rest of the cricket that we will keep bringing you all year round, year after year, until the sun swallows our planet, or even beyond, if we manage by then to transplant this wonderful sport to another part of the universe. Until next time, good night!
Rohit Sharma is the man of the match. "I think it was a great effort from the bowlers. One department where we didn't do well was our fielding. Dropping catches is not a good sign. Restricting them to 160 was a great effort, considering the way they started. Coming back, and tightening up was important, and the spinners and the fast bowlers did a brilliant job. I've not had a great time batting first, but when I'm chasing, obviously, the score is in front of you, I plan my innings really well. But again, it's a challenge, batting first or chasing, toss is not in your hands. The win is important for us, last three games have been superb, but there is room for improvement in our fielding. [Harbhajan and Rayudu] are both aggressive on the field, they like to give it all on the field, they are good mates, these things happen. They are mature, they are professional cricketers, and going into the next game onwards we will try and keep everything in mind."
Pradeep: "MSD has spoken exactly what went wrong today and what goes wrong most times when his team loses. The fear of losing wkts holding him back rather than back himself to bat aggressively has only lost games albeit with decent scorelines like today. He doesn't make a good punter."
Davinder: "All results of this weekend are reverse of the first match of the each team against same opponents in IPL 2016."
Chinudavinci: "It bamboozles me to see that top two teams on the table have negative NRR! "
MS Dhoni: "We didn't bat well after the 10th over. That includes me also, on this kind of wicket, 23 off 24 doesn't really help the team. At times we were thinking too much about what happens if we lose a few wickets. What we need to do is go out there, express ourselves. The bowling has shown improvement, but it doesn't really count if you're not winning games. We will change a few theories and try a few more things, and hopefully it will come off."
11.15pm Rohit paced his innings perfectly, and as long as he was around, 160 was never going to test Mumbai. He had enough support from the other end too - a few aggressive shots from Parthiv early on, and then Rayudu did his bit, and Buttler, as he so often does, played a quiet and unobtrusive innings while scooting along at a 150-plus strike rate. I suppose the match was decided when Pune only made 159 - Mumbai exposed their batting limitations quite clinically after Steven Smith's dismissal. Supergiants need Khawaja soon, and also need to figure out their other two replacements quickly.
