It seems right that Simi Singh ended up taking the final wicket because it very much was his day. Not only did he hit a magnificient 136 whilst batting, he also finished up leading wicket taker for the lightning with four wickets.
The Warriors couldn't really put any partnerships together and once Marais was out there was a steady stream of Warrior batsmen heading too and from the wicket.
With the Lightning winning by 141 runs, they get an extra bonus point to increase their lead at the top of the Hanley Energy Interprovinical IP50 table.
They are on 9 points with the Warriors and the Knights both winless.
The great news is that we do not have to wait long until the next Interprovincial game, with these two teams facing each other in the 3-day Championship game which is going to be starting tomorrow at Bready.
That game starts tomorrow at 11:00am so until then that just leaves me to thank you for following my commentary today. This is Justin Smyth saying goodnight from a sunny Strabane. Goodnight.
