At the half-way stage, you had the feeling that the Reds total was underpar and so it proved. A blistering 55 off only 22 balls from Mudford set the tone of the Innings, with Tector anchoring it to bring it home.
Ben White was the pick of the bowlers, and picked up a couple of wickets. Although his four overs still went for 31, none of the bowlers was spared punishment.
Riley Mudford has just been named as player of the match, which is a great way to crown your debut for your new team.
The Lightning will be delighted to have picked up their first win of the season, it might be too late to retain their title this year, although it did give their home fans something to cheer.
Thanks for following along with me today. The second game of our double header kicks off at 3:30pm, so hopefully you'll be able to join me then as the Northern Knights take on the North West Warriors.
Until then, this is Justin saying goodbye from Pembroke.
