Trent Boult32510813.3713613020
97.6 to HM Amla, stop the clocks, Amla is out, edging one through down the leg side! Well, aint that just the thing ... You spend the best part of a day trying to winkle out one of the toughest batsmen going, you beat the outside edge, then eventually get the wicket with a full ball down the leg side, a bit of a waft and off he goes. 336/5
Doug Bracewell3469432.761497110
9.6 to AN Petersen, gone, New Zealand have struck, that was dropped short and Petersen went for the hook, got a top-edge and found Jeetan Patel waiting at fine leg, that was a half-hearted attempt at playing the hook there. 29/1
35.4 to JH Kallis, Kallis gets an inside edge and is caught by Watling, Bracewell pitched that up outside off and Kallis went for the drive, got a thin inside edge as he tried to expand, he has to go. 137/3
150.1 to DW Steyn, caught at cover! gets a short of length ball on the middle and he tried to smash it out of the ground as he made some room to play that. The bat rolls in his hands and the ball takes a top-edge that goes straight up before settling into the hands of Jeetan Patel. 508/8
Neil Wagner33413514.0913518113
30.4 to GC Smith, Smith walks back, he's gloved it, short ball down the leg side, he moved across to work it fine, got a glove and Watling took an easy catch moving to his right. 121/2
Jeetan Patel36.5213413.6315114100
61.1 to AB de Villiers, Patel has struck, AB will consider that to be a throwaway, Patel kept it flat, AB came down the track and tried to clear midwicket but found Williamson there, didn't get the elevation and he is upset with himself. 223/4
Colin Munro1844022.22875000
136.5 to F du Plessis, he's not timed that, however, and the catch loops gently into the covers, Du Plessis departs! He went after Munro, trying to pull a shorter ball, but the lack of pace meant his hack across the line was mistimed - he was aiming for deep midwicket but the ball ended up 30 yards into the off side. And that's a decent first Test wicket for Munro. 467/6
142.6 to RJ Peterson, got him, chipping to deep midwicket, Munro has another! Peterson has been busier than Elgar since he got out there and he goes after the medium-pacer, decent connection but sent it straight down the sights of the man coming in off the fence. 481/7

2.6 to MJ Guptill, edged and this time it's pouched, Guptil taken in the cordon! This had been coming since the last one, having been sat back by a couple that bounced on him, Guptill wasn't far enough forward, he drove hard, more in hope that judgement, and a thick edge was well taken by Alviro Petersen to his left at third slip. 2/1
4.4 to KS Williamson, back of a length, fencing outside off and Williamson nicks to slip as well! Smith grabbed it safely, the third member of the cordon to be offered a chance of Steyn... Williamson was stuck on the crease, the bat dangling out in the wind and the fait was pretty much accompli. 8/2
32.4 to DAJ Bracewell, it is over for Bracewell! Not much he could have done with this one. It was more of the ball finding the edge than the batsman edging. It was bowled on back of length, pitches on off and just moves a touch away to kiss the edge. Bracewell would have preferred to get beaten by this one. 61/7
34.5 to N Wagner, It's all over for Wagner, or is it! It was a back of length delivery, it pitches on off and comes back into the batsman who plays outside the line and gets hit on the pads. The umpire raises his finger immediately, but Wagner calls for a review. Not much to cheer the batsman in the replays. The ball his hitting the top of off, no inside edge either.. 62/8
36.2 to JS Patel, tries going the other way now. He moves wide outside leg but misses an accurate ball on off stump. The wood takes a beating and goes for a cartwheel. Thanks for the entertainment. 62/9
Morne Morkel12.462612.05655000
44.4 to BJ Watling, caught at first slip! And that ladies and gentleman, is the end of fun. The batsman makes room and tries to cut this length ball to the off side, but the length was not really there. He gets a nice healthy edge and it settles into the big bucket hands of Smith.. 121/10
Rory Kleinveldt1135324.814910100
13.3 to DG Brownlie, oh my, that's unplayable! Brownlie gets little more than a fingertip on it but that means he's off and Kleinveldt has struck. The line was threatening and the ball then spat and straightened off the pitch, Brownlie tried to jerk out of the way but it brushed the glove and sailed through to de Villiers - another catch behind the wicket and that defiant, er, 19-run partnership is ended. 27/3
15.1 to DR Flynn, full and swinging, Flynn knocked off his feet... it's given out by umpire Gould but Flynn reviews. Here we go with the replay, pitching in line with leg and ripping straight on, Flynn doesn't get his bat down, so no chance of an inside edge and that looks plumb. Yep, the stars align and the call is upheld. Flynn is no longer in - he's out. 27/4
Robin Peterson722022.85343000
20.2 to BB McCullum, got him, McCullum lured into an ill-considered slog and a thin edge flies into Kallis' midriff, he's not dropping that one! What was I saying about respite? Surely McCullum has to leave this, full and wide of the stumps but he could not curb his attacking instincts any longer, there was just a bit of turn and McCullum walked when he realised what he had done. 39/5
20.3 to C Munro, another one, two in two! He went over the wicket to the left-handed Colin Munro, the ball spinning in just a touch as he pushed forward around his front pad, the ball clipped the edge of the bat and looped gently to short leg. Munro has a golden duck on debut and Peterson is on a hat-trick!. 39/6

82.4 to BJ Watling, repeat of the previous delivery, but this one was fuller pitches around off stump after angling in and then leaves the batsman, the batsman thought he had covered the line but he hadn't. The bowl takes the off stump. Outstanding. 203/7
84.2 to DAJ Bracewell, caught at third slip! And he gets another corker. It pitches on the middle and it's full too. For batsmen with limited techniques, that means you have to play it on the on side, but it swings away from there and takes an outside edge that flies low to third slip. Alviro completes a diving catch. 204/8
86.4 to N Wagner, and it is all over! Finito! It was a quick short ball on the middle, Wagner goes for a mighty pull but the ball takes an edge and goes to the keeper.. 211/10
Morne Morkel1663622.25847010
81.5 to C Munro, caught at third slip! Oh I can say it was coming. Morne bowls it at short of length angling into the batsman, but Munro stays on the back foot and plays inside the line. The ball takes a healthy edge to Alviro who gobbles it up easily.. 203/6
85.3 to TA Boult, caught at point! There goes another one. It was a short delivery on off stump and the batsman tries to play a cute upper cut (there was a third man there), but he manages to just pop it up tamely around point where the dolly is taken. 207/9
Rory Kleinveldt1584422.93759000
39.3 to MJ Guptill, sneaked through! Beaten for pace, or perhaps Guptill just wasn't quick enough to respond to that, this was pitched up a bit further, coming in towards off stump, Guptill was trapped on the back foot and the ball skidded between pad and bat and hit the top of the off stump, the stumps are erect, the bails are elsewhere. 84/3
39.4 to DR Flynn, two in two! What a bowling change this is turning out to be. This was pitched up from over the wicket, Flynn was forward and shaping to drive through the off side, takes the outside edge. Kleinveldt looked back just to confirm but he was certain. 84/4
Robin Peterson26134721.801368000
20.2 to BB McCullum, sliding on and hit on the pad, it's given... but McCullum asks for the review. Oh, this doesn't look good for the batsman, he played for turn that wasn't there and was hit on the back leg, there was no inside edge and the ball would have clipped leg stump - McCullum's stodgy rearguard is over! For the second time in the match, he's seen off the quicks only to get out to Peterson. 40/1
30.4 to KS Williamson, goes back and misses as the ball stays low, Williamson is castled! Peterson has done it again, this time the pitch giving him a bit of assistance and an arm ball shot through, Williamson was shaping to cut off the back foot and it slipped under the bat to tickle off stump and make the bails go pop. 64/2
Jacques Kallis931812.00473000
76.1 to DG Brownlie, and friends, it is time for Brownlie to head back. It was a full delivery in the channel, there was no need to play at that, but he did. The ball just did enough and took an edge, straight through to the keeper. 182/5
