4.3 to MJ Guptill, gone! A sustained spell of top-class fast bowling has paid off. Guptill walks down the leg side, exposes all his stumps, and yorks himself. He's the played inside the line to yet another one and this time it means the stumps are shattered. He looked out of sorts today. 17/1 22.3 to JDS Neesham, Review for catch taken by South Africa. That has gone off the top edge to the helmet and to the fielder. It was a short ball and Neesham was looking to pull it. But the ball gets big on him and goes off the top edge, hits him on the helmet and goes to the fielder at point. On-field call reversed. 87/6 41.1 to C de Grandhomme, back of a length outside off, walks across and tries to slog this over midwicket, beaten and it goes through to the keeper....who has appealed and asked for a review as the umpire shook his head. And it looks like a good review. Snicko and hotspot indicate there was a tiny feather at the bottom of the bat. 149/10
9 | 0 | 34 | 1 | 3.77 | 40 | 5 | 0 | 2 | 0 | |
19.2 to L Ronchi, short ball, did not get up as much as the batsman expected it to. Ronchi wants to arch back and let it go but because the bounce is low, he inadvertently gets a glove to it and it carries to the wicketkeeper. Should have dropped the wrists there. Not unplayable bounce but not the best way to deal with it. 72/5
10 | 0 | 14 | 2 | 1.40 | 46 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
36.3 to TG Southee, flighted at a good length outside off, opens up his stance. It's spinning away from him all the time, he's not to the pitch but goes across with the slog sweep anyway. Gets a top edge, it flies high, no one wants to deny Tahir the opportunity to take this catch and he does so comfortably, a couple of yards to the left of where his run-up starts. 140/8 38.2 to JS Patel, slider slightly outside off stump, good length. Goes on the back foot and tries to punch it into the leg side, catches it on the pad. He's right back in the crease and is caught on the pad. Umpire raises the finger....and they haven't reviewed. It looked like he was struck outside the line. They had a long discussion, but chose not to review. Oh dear, replays show that hit outside off and was missing the wickets.. 147/9
7 | 1 | 35 | 2 | 5.00 | 27 | 3 | 2 | 0 | 0 | |
11.3 to DG Brownlie, good length, angled in at off stump, goes across the line to whip it through midwicket, gets struck right in front and there's no overturning that. 42/3 15.6 to LRPL Taylor, oh dear. Awful shot. Just awful from a senior batsman at 51 for 3. Good length, angled in at off stump and Phehlukwayo has suckered another one in to playing across the line and look for the midwicket boundary. This should be crashing into off-and-middle at a reasonable height.. 51/4

2.1 to Q de Kock, de Kock in some hurry here and he pays the price. Tries to take on the spinner and comes down the track. Lofts it over mid-off but there is some turn which means he cannot find the middle of the bat and the ball goes down the throat of long-off. 6/1 15.2 to JP Duminy, Duminy has picked out cover. Nicely done by Jeetan, pitches it right up and gets it to spin away from Duminy who goes for a drive but skews it off the outside part of the bat and sends it straight into the hands of cover. 48/3

11.5 to HM Amla, gone. Straight to cover. Full and wide outside off again and Amla lays into a cover drive. Hit extremely hard except that it goes straight into the hands of the fielder at cover. 35/2

21.6 to AB de Villiers, he's got him! Bouncer at middle stump, this climbs on him sharply, he's halfway between a duck and a fend, in the end he wants to take his face out of the line and only manages a glove through to the keeper. Superb bouncer from Neesham. 88/4 |
