11.50 pm That's all we have from ball-by-ball tonight. Thanks for joining us. Goodnight.

"[About the catch] I think I had my eyes closed and that helped. it was just one of those catches that stuck. Pretty lucky," Kumar Sangakkara says, "Smith was an important player, good to get him out early. Surprised I caught it. But during the break, we were in a good positoin at 15 overs, we wanted to get 150. But the way the boys came back was outstanding. Imad and Usama were excellent. This was a wicket we had to bowl straight. It was touch with a wet ball but with it skidding and keeping low, Imad was excellent and Usama too. We left Polly to do a bit too much again. We have to correct that with the bat. Draining to play do-or-die games. The boys are banding together though. Very proud of our team"

"We couldn't bat well on that pitch. One-twenty seven was gettable. No pressure of a knockout game. They just bowled well and once we lost wickets, the pressure mounted. I think we batted badly,"Misbah-ul-Haq says, "Shadab bowled really well, took crucial wickets at crucial stages and the way he caught especially, that's very special. He can bat too, he can dent oppositions. Next year is still far away. Let's see [about his playing more PSL]. You need to move on. Obviously, we'll see next year. [Are you ready to go to the West Indies?] Lets see. It's not the time to answer that question. I will make the decision soon"

Imad Wasim is the Man of the Match for his 3 for 18, including Misbah-ul-Haq and Shane Watson. "The wicket supported me, it was a bit on the slow side and I had to step up. It's been a long time. I think, I like those crunch situations and the wicket was on the low side, so I just bowled short of a length and not giving room. If you don't take wickets you can't win and in a low-scoring game you have to take wickets to win. Ready for another knockout game on Friday."

Abdullah Saleem: "Amir's two early wickets should not be forgotten. He certainly deserves a lot of credit because he got two of the in-form batsmen especially Smith."

Babar Azam gets the green cap for being the highest run-scorer in the PSL

11.35 pm This is the lowest total defended in the PSL and it's totally down to Imad Wasim (3 for 18) and Usama Mir (3 for 24) - two spinners on a night where there was no shortage of dew. They somehow made it work for them though, using the skidders and arm balls and controlling the length and line so well that the batsman could only defend or slog. And when Islamabad chose to slog, they were bowled or lbw. Islamabad were 47 for 2 - and then they were 82 all out with only two batsmen getting into double-digits. Karachi Kings will play Peshawar Zalmi for a spot in the final on Friday

Hammad Azaz: "Karachi kings somehow reminds me of an un-predictable Pakistan team" Winning out of nowhere.

Haris: "Even Islamabad United somehow reminds me of the Pakistan cricket team. " Heh, losing out of nowhere

Amir to Raees, OUT

taken by long-on running to his left and Karachi are through. The defending champions Islamabad crash out, failing to chase 127. Length ball, skews it over the top and once the catch is taken, Amir borrows Raees' wicket celebration. Just standing there, tipping his head to the side and folding his arms.

plays all around the slower ball, it's back of the hand too, and the stumps are shattered. Just your average tail-ender hitting right across a striaght delivery

oh dear, this should be a run-out. Karachi have two cracks at it because Raees has slipped. The throw from cover misses. Then Raees, who has lost his bat, has to scramble on his knees to reach his ground on the second throw from midwicket

Usama Mir to Sami, OUT

appeal for lbw and Usama is certain about it. The umpire isn't so gives the benefit of the doubt to the batsman. Asks the review. This is a really full delivery on off stump, Sami comes forward to block, and he does so down the wrong line. The bat is beside the ball with him playing for turn. There isn't much, and because of that it hits pad first. This could be gone. Ball-tracking gives up all reds and Sami is outta here

Usama Mir to Asif Ali, OUT

that's gorgeous. The set batsman Asif tries to be a bit cheeky, going deep in his crease to try and late cut the ball, but he waits for too long. Basically guides the ball into the keeper's gloves, undone by a little more turn than he expects. Usama Mir sets off on a jaunt. Good work from Sanga too, to rise with the ball
