VN Buch's 4/47 put the skids on Railways as they crawled to 194/5 from
90 overs on the opening day of their Super League clash against Baroda
at Delhi's Karnail Singh Stadium today.
After winning the toss on their home ground the Railways batsmen
failed to press home the advantage. While Sanjay Bangar, who has come
into the selectors' reckoning recently, fell cheaply, the other opener
Vishal Sharma stroked his way to 43 off 83 balls. After four wickets
had fallen for 86, Y Goud (60 not out) and Devendra Singh (47) added
93 for the 5th wicket. Buch dismissed Devendra to claim his fourth
wicket following which S Wankhade (5 not out) and Goud closed shutters
for the day.
