Scorecard
Half-centuries to Lee Carseldine and Wade Townsend guided Queensland to their first win of the Sheffield Shield season. The eight-wicket victory came as the Bulls overhauled Tasmania's target of 214 and allowed them to forget their batting horrors of the previous game, when they were dismissed for 75 and 96.
Resuming on 0 for 2, Townsend settled the side by putting on 90 for the first wicket with Ryan Broad, who fell on 36 when beaten by Ben Hilfenhaus. Townsend departed for 58 shortly after lunch but Carseldine and Chris Lynn ensured there would be no setbacks and completed the chase in the second session.
Carseldine, who has had a difficult start to the summer, finished with 68 while Lynn was 40. The victory was set up by Ryan Harris' career-best match haul of 9 for 140, and took the Bulls to six points.
