Zampa, Benton help South Australia strike back

A late rearguard with the bat and early strikes with the ball saw South Australia restore parity with Queensland in Brisbane

Queensland 3 for 59 (Lynn 20, Benton 2-20) trail South Australia 230 (Zampa 67, Benton 33, Hopes 4-38, George 3-47) by 171 runs
Scorecard
A late rearguard with the bat and early strikes with the ball saw South Australia restore parity with Queensland in Brisbane. South Australia were 110 for 7 before Adam Zampa, coming in at No.8, scored 67 and shared 58 for the last wicket with Nick Benton to prop his team up to 230.
Benton then sparkled with the ball, removing both the Queensland openers within the first 10 overs. They lost Chris Lynn as well, caught behind off Joe Mennie, before Chris Hemphrey and Peter Forrest survived through to stumps with the score 59 for 3.
After Queensland elected to field, James Hopes and Peter George made light work of the South Australia batting, before Zampa fought back with useful support from Trent Lawford (12) and Benton (33).
