12.3 to AB de Villiers, that's the first wicket! de Villiers gave Whelan the charge and lofted him inside out over covers, he didn't time it well and Cusack, the debutant, ran in from the fence and took a well-judged tumbling catch. 75/1

25.2 to MN van Wyk, that's the end of van Wyk, the ball was on a good length on off and middle, van Wyk moved a shade across and tried to chip it over midwicket, he didn't time it well and therefore didn't get enough elevation, Johnston took an easy catch at head height at midwicket. 136/2 27.3 to HH Gibbs, a fraction short outside off stump, Gibbs moves forward and tries to pull it through midwicket, the ball takes the top edge and Niall O'Brien, standing up to the stumps, takes a smart catch. 147/3 29.4 to JH Kallis, good length ball on off stump, it angles into Kallis who makes room for himself and tries to hit over the off side, he doesn't time it well and ends up lofting it straight to Kevin O'Brien at long off. 162/4 |

22.4 to DT Johnston, Duminy takes an outstanding catch! Johnston had to step on it and he tried slogging Ntini down the ground, he ended up slicing it high but straight past the bowler, Duminy covered a lot of ground, running to his left from long on and took an excellent sliding catch. 96/8

9.1 to KED Carroll, would you believe it, he's hit his wickets! Carroll went right back in his crease to defend a short of a length ball from Steyn, as his right leg came down, his foot slipped and caused him to fall over and hit his stumps with his back leg, I don't think his spikes were doing their job, an unfortunate way to go. 45/1 9.5 to MJ Fourie, that's the second wicket of the over, Fourie fends at one away from his body and edges it to Kemp at first slip who takes a regulation catch. 47/2
5.5 | 1 | 12 | 4 | 2.05 | 27 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | |
10.3 to WTS Porterfield, edged and gone, and Philander gets his first ODI wicket on his 22nd birthday! The ball sat up from a short length and surprised Porterfield, who hopped up and fended, only to edge into Boucher's leaping gloves behind the stumps. 47/3 12.1 to NJ O'Brien, Philander is having an excellent debut, Niall O' Brien plays all around one that swung back into him from outside off and hits off and middle stump, Ireland are really struggling now. 56/4 28.6 to WK McCallan, Philander has his third! He banged it in short, McCallan went down on one knee and tried to scoop it over Boucher, he ended up getting a faint nick and Boucher moved quickly to his left to take the catch. 129/9 30.5 to RK Whelan, they didn't stay on this time, Whelan tries to slog across the line, he misses, Philander hits and collects his fourth wicket on debut, a fine effort from him. 131/10
6 | 0 | 21 | 1 | 3.50 | 23 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
15.5 to DI Joyce, pitches on a good length outside off stump and holds it's line, Joyce tries to drive off the back foot and ends up playing away from his body, the ball hits the outside edge and Boucher takes a low catch, Ireland have lost their fifth wicket. 66/5
4 | 0 | 30 | 1 | 7.50 | 6 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
18.1 to KJ O'Brien, Tshabalala picks up his first ODI wicket on debut, Kevin O'Brien gave him the charge but didn't get to the pitch of the ball, he tried to heave it over midwicket but ended up scooping it straight to Morne van Wyk who took the catch a fair distance from the boundary. 77/6
2 | 0 | 8 | 1 | 4.00 | 8 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
19.3 to AR White, caught, oops ...and caught! White tries to reverse sweep Duminy but hits it straight to Ntini at short third man who fumbles it once but takes it safely on the second attempt, Duminy strikes with his third ball. 83/7 |
