played off the pads to square leg and a quick single seals the series for West Indies. They lead 2-0 with one to play
Bangladesh vs West Indies, 2nd ODI at Dhaka, Oct 15 2011 - Ball by Ball Commentary
West Indies won by 8 wickets (with 44 balls remaining)
8.40 pm West Indies have chased this with ridiculous ease. At no stage did they face any problems. Simmons and Hyatt began with a solid first-wicket stand, and them Samuels and Simmons finished the job. Bangladesh were dispirited in the field and just going through the motions.
Bangladesh, however, lost the game when they batted. The contest was up as early as the second over, when they were reduced to 1 for 3. Even though Mushfiqur and the lower-middle order rallied, it was largely game over.
Mushfiqur: "On that flat wicket we chose to bat, but 20 for 4 ... the lower order showed character. Our top-order batsman took the easy option ... we need to work hard for the next match."
The Man of the Match is Marlon Samuels, one wicket and plenty of eye-catching runs. Well deserved. That's it from us at ESPNcricinfo for today. See you next time. Cheers.
Sammy: "The previous few games we've put in a professional display. It was an all-round team effort. The wickets have been good one-day wickets ... the way we went about our job, the bowlers stuck to their plan and the batsmen are taking responsibility."
