James Anderson2585922.361259000
8.5 to KOA Powell, this is the inswinger and bowls him! Powell thought of leaving again and was so late on it, lost his off stump. Anderson set him up beautifully with consecutive deliveries that angled away, Powell shaped to ignore another but it swung in and the defensive stroke got nowhere near the ball which clattered into the top of off stump. 13/1
14.5 to KA Edwards, full and beats the attempted flick across the line, that's plumb and England have a second before drinks. Stone dead, simply missed one that darted in trying to play to leg. Wasn't a great stroke and Edwards didn't look too comfortable. Well bowled Anderson. 32/2
Stuart Broad24.567272.8912413003
31.6 to AB Barath, and Barath's life is extended by only a couple of balls, as Anderson takes the catch in the gully at the second attempt! The delivery wasn't full enough to drive and Barath's expansive stroke resulted in only a thick edge, which Anderson parried into the air goalkeeper-style before grasping on the way down. Rash shot from Barath, after a very encouraging knock. 86/3
67.4 to MN Samuels, just as things were looking quiet Samuels scoops a loose drive straight to Bairstow standing at point! Too quiet perhaps, for Samuels, who undoes his good work in the same fashion as Barath with a loose shot. West Indies are still in a favourable position, having lost the toss, but that will give England a sniff. 181/5
69.3 to D Ramdin, gone, edging to slip! Broad pulled his length back a fraction, Ramdin couldn't get forward as confidently and ended up fencing at the ball, a textbook snick flying into the cordon, where Strauss gleefully clings on. I'll stop mentioning how well the Windies are doing now, shall I?. 187/6
81.6 to DJG Sammy, caught in the gully! Totally square up and pops a catch to Bresnan who claimed it low with two hands. Sammy's ended up pirouetting having looked to clip a length ball to leg, he pops it to gully of a thick leading edge, chance for England now to rip out this tail with the new ball. 219/7
85.1 to KAJ Roach, chipped back to the bowler and taken really well tumbling to his left. Pretty poor stroke, another one of those feetless drives, this comes off a little high on the bat and just pops back towards Broad who claims a smart catch for his five-wicket haul. Full and straight and let it swing - simple cricket has produced dividends today for Broad. 231/8
89.4 to FH Edwards, finally Edwards nicks one, full and straight and it pays off in the end. A decent edge is going straight to Andrew Strauss at first slip but Matt Prior dives in front of him and takes it with a full-length dive, a fine catch. Little nudge forward from Edwards, he had to get an edge sooner or later, and this one he does. 243/9
89.5 to ST Gabriel, out first ball! Just what England wanted and Broad has seven wickets in a Test innings for the first time. Perfect start. On a length, just outside off, Gabriel plopped a bat at it and got a healthy edge at a good height for Swann who took a chance as easy as they come. Ideal delivery and an ideal start to the day for the hosts. 243/10

BOWLINGOMRWECON0s4s6sWDNB
Fidel Edwards2518813.5211213003
104.3 to SCJ Broad, bowled first ball! Edwards slips one through Broad's back foot defensive stroke and clips the off bail. Quick delivery and Broad was late on the ball that skidded on, as Edwards' bowling tends to do. Fine delivery first up and another strike for the Windies. 342/8
Kemar Roach25310834.3210716008
11.5 to AN Cook, dragged it on and West Indies get the breakthrough as Cook cuts a ball that was too close to play in the manner he did with such an angled bat and he's chopped it onto his leg stump, perhaps the trajectory of Roach made the stroke a little more difficult because it took the bottom edge, he didn't really move his feet and was perhaps better trying to punch that through cover. 47/1
83.3 to AJ Strauss, this one is quick and straight, jumping off a length and beating Strauss' inside edge. There's an appeal behind the stumps, umpire Erasmus says no - West Indies are going to review it. Ah, this is interesting - Hot Spot is showing a feather of an edge. Strauss will have to go, though he looks like he'll need dragging from the crease. Again the crowd stands in applause - but Darren Sammy probably deserves a small hand for making perfect use of the DRS. Roach, who as with Cook's wicket yesterday didn't look all that interested, makes the breakthrough. 266/4
89.5 to JM Bairstow, full, nips back and gottim! Again it's Kemar Roach who makes something happen for West Indies. The delivery enticed Bairstow forward again, attempting to drive but he was beaten by a bit of seam movement and hit on the front pad. No doubts about that one, and no review asked for. An attractive cameo from Yorkshire's Jonny Bairstow ends and West Indies are edging their way back into this match. 292/5
Shannon Gabriel21.326032.791016000
96.1 to MJ Prior, pitched up, straight through the gate and Prior's stumps explode! A lovely moment for Shannon Gabriel, who celebrates his maiden Test wicket with his arms outstretched, a huge grin on his face. It was a well directed delivery, maybe a touch quicker than Prior was expecting as he tried to whip it to leg ... and the bails pop like bread from a toaster. Another brief-but-productive partnership is ended. Was that a cameo?. 320/6
111.6 to GP Swann, full and straight, Swann goes to flick across the line and misses ending a fine brief knock from Swann, who was late on that and it skidded through off the pad onto middle and leg stumps, a second Test wicket for Gabriel, that was well bowled. 397/9
113.3 to IR Bell, pulled away into the deep and a fine catch, excellent take running in from the deep square fence, it was a low chance and Powell dived forward and took it with both hands, it was a well struck shot but in line with the fielder who took it nicely. 398/10
Daren Sammy2819223.2812412001
63.3 to IJL Trott, now they've got one, Trott caught behind! It may not be the man they wanted but most fielding teams are glad to see the back of England's No. 3. Sammy is rewarded for his dedication to line and length, plugging away outside off and drawing a little nibble from Trott, Ramdin pouching it safely as the ball seamed away just a fraction. 194/2
97.4 to TT Bresnan, sharp delivery, Bresnan stays back and pushes at it - nicked off and gone! Good bowling from Sammy, slightly back of a length but again leaving the batsman off the pitch, Bresnan was caught on the crease and Ramdin claimed the edge. And there wasn't even time for a "Yorkshire's Timmy Bresnan" before he was off. 323/7
Marlon Samuels1433812.71583000
76.5 to KP Pietersen, step away to cut and he's nicked it behind! Perhaps not into the best position, weight going back, it was a thick edge and a jolly good catch by Ramdin who clung on well. A poor ball and an average dismissal gives West Indies something to cheer about ...they won't be slapped around by KP anymore in this innings. 244/3

BOWLINGOMRWECON0s4s6sWDNB
James Anderson36116711.861776000
122.4 to D Ramdin, he's got a wicket now! Length ball from Anderson, snakes through the gap between bat and pad to thwack into the top of off. Might have been a sliver of an inside edge but, either way, Ramdin is castled and that really should be it for West Indies' second innings. 325/9
Stuart Broad3469342.7315210001
13.3 to KOA Powell, short ball and Powell perishes in the deep! They had two men back, the plan had been texted (because no one uses telegraphs now, right?) but Powell went for it anyway, taking on the bouncer - he got underneath it, the ball looping high to deep square leg and England have turned a small fissure into a pretty large hole. 36/2
85.3 to MN Samuels, there's the breakthrough! A full swinging delivery edge to second slip. Samuels came forward to drive a ball just outside off stump but the away-swing saw the ball take the outside edge and fly to Swann who pouched the chance - as easy as they come for him. 222/5
115.4 to DJG Sammy, gone now and you saw it coming. Sammy went to pull then pulled out of the stroke but it came off the bottom edge low on the bat to Prior. The shot a ball tactics failing him in the end. Funny dismissal though, another short ball and he went after it but then realised it was a little wide and tried to stop himself playing at it but couldn't. 307/7
117.5 to KAJ Roach, caught at point and another wicket for Broad. A flashing drive flies straight to point off the bottom of the bad and it's such a simple catch for Bell at backward point. Went after a length ball outside off and didn't get into a great position. 313/8
Tim Bresnan361110512.9117116000
12.5 to AB Barath, and this time the nick sticks! Bresnan's bag of allsorts turns up a wicket for England! It took him a while to find the right line and length but when he did, Barath was stuck on the crease, pushing away from his body as the ball left him. He'd stuck around well, the Windies opener, but once again can't go on. 36/1
Graeme Swann18.545933.13878000
31.1 to DM Bravo, bowled him! There's the breakthrough, tried to leave but it was the arm ball, he didn't cover off stump with his pads and the ball skidded on and clipped off stump. Poor piece of judgement. It just came down the hill and Swann gets another left hander out. 65/4
105.1 to S Chanderpaul, and Swann does it in his first over again! Chanderpaul sweeps, hit on the front pad, given lbw - but he asks for the review. It pitched outside off and went on with the arm, not much turn, hit right on the knee roll ... The only question is if it's hitting any of leg. And it is, clipping the stump - if the umpire had said no it wouldn't have been enough to overturn. Chanderpaul goes for 91 on the brink of tea, what a moment to dismiss him for the first time in the match!. 261/6
130.5 to ST Gabriel, and there he goes, bowled him! Swann threw this one up a bit more, tantalising the batsman, who was aiming for cow corner but left the gate wide open, bit of turn and rattle go the stumps. Gabriel departs for 13, one short of equalling his best first-class score. 345/10

1.2 to AJ Strauss, got him, there's the break through! Roach strikes with a fast, threatening delivery, back of a length and targeting the batsman, Strauss stayed back and fended at the ball, a thick edge flying off the shoulder of the bat to gully. That really leapt at him, terrific start from Roach. 1/1
3.1 to JM Anderson, short and gloved, was it? Yes, Roach has another one! A second wicket falls, Roach is amongst them, steaming in like the ghost of West Indies quicks past. It was another rib-tickler, down the leg side and it just brushed the glove before flapping the shirt, Anderson thought about the review but wisely decided against. 10/2
9.2 to IJL Trott, but this is gone a similar delivery and played in the same way but this flies off a big edge and well taken to Sammy's left hand side. On a length, Trott playing forward again, this one he nicked, just a touch shorter perhaps, a little more zip onto the bat, gripped a little up the slope, producing an edge. 29/3
Shannon Gabriel512615.20184000
14.4 to KP Pietersen, another pull and out! Gabriel's got a huge huge wicket! Another short ball that Pietersen tried to play into the leg side, a bottom edge through to the keeper. It didn't bounce quite as Pietersen was expecting, he got a thin edge and Ramdin took a simple chance to set off wild celebrations. 57/4
Daren Sammy1012512.50411000
45.3 to AN Cook, oh, gone! Cook tried to finish things with another hack through his favoured scoring area but it flew off the edge and was caught low at gully. Disastrous collapse ahoy!. 189/5
