Allan Donald returns to Warwicks
South African fast bowler Allan Donald will return to
Warwickshire, on a one-year contract, next season. This will be
the ninth season for the pace ace at Edgbaston.
"Next summer is a long way off, but already I am looking forward to coming back as a player," the 29-year-old paceman, who
has already taken 456 wickets for the county besides his 114
victims in 25 Tests for South Africa, said.
Donald missed two seasons for Warwicks - the first in 1994
when he was touring England with his national squad, and this
year, when team-mate Shaun Pollock was picked as the county`s
overseas player.
Donald has, however, continued to work at Edgbaston as the
county`s bowling and physical fitness coach. And come next season, he will return to harness, replacing Pollock as Warwicks`
overseas pro.
