Anderson ties the knot

The England fast bowler, James Anderson, has married the model, Daniella Lloyd, in a service at St Peter's Church in Hale, Cheshire.

Anderson, who has played in 12 Tests for England and is a leading contender for a World Cup place in the Caribbean next winter, met Ms Lloyd two years ago while on England duty in London. According to the Burnley Express, more than 120 guests attended the service, with a reception held at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester.

Among the guests were Anderson's England team-mates, Andrew Flintoff, Paul Collingwood and Geraint Jones, as well as Chris Read and Gareth Batty, with whom Anderson whiled away the hours in South Africa last winter as reserves in the Test squad.

The couple are now enjoying a five-day honeymoon in New York, before Anderson returns home to prepare for the England A tour of the Caribbean.
