Aravinda incident resolved

Sri Lanka cricket team manager Chandra Schaffter said the incident involving Reuters News Agency photographer Anuruddha Lokuhapuarachchi and Sri Lanka cricketer Aravinda de Silva has been resolved.

In a press statement issued yesterday, Schaffter said: "I have discussed this matter with the cricketer concerned as well as with the Head of Reuters News Agency in Sri Lanka. The latter has informed me that the problem has now been resolved and for this reason no further action is necessary".

As a result, the intended inquiry into the incident was dropped.

It is reliably understood the issue had been resolved on the same day it happened.
