Women's Cricket Australia national selectors announced on Wednesday their senior and junior squads to train during the winter.
Twenty-five names were announced by WCA Elite Programs and Development Manager, Andrew Zesers, to form the senior squad. It is expected that the team to defend the Women's World Cup in New Zealand in November-December will be chosen from these players.
Among the more notable inclusions in the list is former Australian all-rounder Zoe Goss, who broke her retirement last year to captain the Western Fury in the Women's National League. Goss has not played for Australia since the last World Cup in India in 1997.
Some players will be required to meet fitness standards to ensure their continuation in the squad, however the release from the WCA did not name these players.
