SWANSEA: Glamorgan v Surrey
Glamorgan include Roland Lefebvre and Steve Barwick in their 12
for the game with leaders Surrey with seamer Steve Bastien out of
action. Bastien joins Matthew Maynard (broken knuckle) on the
sidelines after damaging the webbing on his left hand against
Sussex.
Surrey recall Monte Lynch in place of Alec Stewart, who is on
England duty, for the game with Glamorgan.
TAUNTON: Somerset v Hampshire
Hampshire call up batsman Rupert Cox to deputise for England's
Robin Smith against Somerset. Slow left armer Darren Flint is
also in the squad and competes for a place with Martin Thursfield.
Somerset's Neil Mallender should return for the game with
Hampshire at Taunton. Paul Bird is added to the squad.
EDGBASTON: Warwicks v Durham
Warwickshire's Brian Lara has been passed fit to face Durham at
Edgbaston on Thursday. The batsman, who has shaken off a shoulder injury, is aiming to become the first player to score seven
centuries in eight first class innings.
Durham youngster David Cox comes in as 12th man for the trip to
Edgbaston to face Warwickshire.
MIDDLESBROUGH: Yorks v Notts
Notts are boosted by the return of Chris Lewis, who has shaken
off a rib muscle strain in time to face Yorkshire at Middlesbrough. Fellow all rounder Kevin Evans is also back after an ankle injury.
Yorkshire will be without three key players for the clash with
Notts at Middlesbrough. Craig White looks certain to be named in
the England side Darren Gough has a side strain and Richie
Richardson is in Antigua where his son is recovering from an accident.
CHELMSFORD: Essex v Gloucs
Essex are set to recall batsmen Nick Knight and Nadim Shahid to
the team to take on Gloucestershire. Skipper Graham Gooch and
Peter Such are on Test duty with England.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS: Kent v Sussex
Sussex have drafted Carlos Remy into their squad for the clash
with Kent at Tunbridge Wells. Veteran off spinner Eddie Hemmings
is also in contention. Ian Salisbury has a slight shoulder injury
but has been passed fit.
Kent batsman Neil Taylor returns to the squad against Sussex.
Mark Ealham is also named after recovering from a groin injury.
LORD'S: Middlesex v Worcs
Worcestershire opening batsman Phil Weston makes his comeback
after an eye problem against Middlesex. Wicket keeper Tim Edwards will make his second championship appearance of the season
in place of Steve Rhodes who is on England duty.
