Cricket South Africa's (CSA) elections will take place at a special general meeting on October 24, at which time Dr Mtutuzeli Nyoka, the Gauteng Cricket Board chairman, is expected to replace Norman Arendse, who stood down last week as board president.
The elections have been called because of the board's restructuring, which is being undertaken for tax purposes. It was announced that there will be 20 members - 11 provincial presidents, one representative of associate members, four office bearers (president, vice-president, treasurer and CEO), three black representatives, and a women's cricket representative.
"It's an important time for South African cricket and we look forward to moving ahead positively in the next few weeks," said Dr Logan Naidoo, the acting CSA president.
