There is plenty to play for on Sunday, 8th August as the 2010 Elite Player Series reaches its climax. Stormers and Dragons face off in the first match of the day starting at 10AM in the 3rd/4th play-off, while Peaks take on Victory in the EPS grand final starting at 2PM.
Players from all teams will be looking to impress the selectors and National Coach Charlie Burke as they push for places in the 2010-11 Hong Kong National squad. Players from that squad will be selected to represent Hong Kong at the Asian Games in November as well as other tournaments in 2010-11.
The top performing players in the series will also be looking to seal the Player of the Series with another match winning performance. Tabarak Dar currently leads the table with 5 points with Nineltha closely following behind on 4 points. Hong Kong Captain Najeeb Amar, Peter Wooden and Anas Khan are all hot on their tails with 3 points each, while Imran Muhammad, Nasir Hameed and Babar Hayat are still in contention with 2 points.
As an added treat for spectators, former Australian ODI player and ICL T20 star Ryan Campbell will play with the Stormers team in the 3rd/4th play-off match. The former West Australian player is in Hong Kong to help with Hong Kong's preparations for the Asian Games and the ACC Under-19 Women's Championships.
