Stats - Sameer Minhas eclipses Quinton de Kock with blazing knock

172 - Sameer Minhas registered the highest individual score in the final of an Under-19 tournament. He surpassed Quinton de Kock's 146 against Pakistan in the final of a Tri-nation tournament in 2012.

Minhas' 172 is also the highest score for Pakistan in youth ODIs. Shahzaib Khan held the record earlier, when he smashed 159 against India in the 2024 Under-19 Asia Cup. The 172 is also the highest individual score India have conceded in youth ODIs.

9 - Number of sixes hit by Minhas is the most by a batter in a youth ODI tournament final. Minhas again went past de Kock, who had hammered six sixes in the 2012 Tri-nation tournament against Pakistan. In all youth ODIs, only Shahzaib has hit more sixes in an innings for Pakistan (10).

Minhas also hit 17 fours against India, also a record in youth ODI finals.

15 - Number of sixes Pakistan hit in their innings is a record for most sixes in the final of a youth ODI tournament. They went past India's 14 sixes in the 2018 Under-19 Asia Cup final.

20 - Number of sixes hit by Vaibhav Suryavanshi in this Under-19 Asia Cup. It is the most sixes in a multi-nation youth ODI tournament. Hitting three sixes in the final, Suryavanshi went past Dewald Brevis' tally of 18 sixes in the 2022 Under-19 World Cup.

191 - India's margin of defeat against Pakistan in the Under-19 Asia Cup final is their biggest ever in youth ODIs in terms of runs. Their previous worst was a 112-run defeat against South Africa in the 2002 Under-19 World Cup. These are the only two times India have lost by more than 100 runs in youth ODIs.

In multi-team youth ODI tournament finals, India's loss by 191 runs is the third-biggest margin of defeat.

347 for 8 - Pakistan's total is the highest team score in a youth ODI tournament final. It is also Pakistan's fourth-highest total in youth ODIs.

The score of 347 is also the highest total conceded by India in all youth ODIs.

26.2 - Number of overs India batted to be bowled out for 156. It is the second-lowest number of overs India have batted in a youth ODI when they have been bowled out. They were bowled out for 71 in only 18.5 overs, also against Pakistan, in the final of the 2006 Under-19 World Cup.
