HKCA AGM sees transition to new Executive Committee structure
The 2010 Annual General Meeting of the Hong Kong Cricket Association was held at the Hong Kong Cricket Club on Saturday, 28th August 2010. The meeting was the first to be held under the HKCA's new Constitution.

The 2010 Annual General Meeting of the Hong Kong Cricket Association was held at the Hong Kong Cricket Club on Saturday, 28th August 2010. The meeting was the first to be held under the HKCA's new Constitution.
HKCA President, Captain Saleem chaired the meeting. He briefly covered highlights of his annual report, which was distributed to members at the meeting and which is now available for download.
As part of the new Constitution, a new Executive Committee was elected. The new Executive Committee structure includes representatives of Little Sai Wan Cricket Club, Pakistan Association and Women's Cricket while the three general member positions have been removed.
Nominations had been called for the election of Officers and as only a single nomination was received in each post, there was no need for voting to be conducted at the meeting.
Therefore, the HKCA Executive Committee for 2010/11 will be as follows:
- President - Capt. Saleem Shazada Ahmed
- Chairman - Mr Dinesh Tandon
- Hon. Secretary - Mr John Cribbin
- Hon. Treasurer - Mr Albert Lee
- Hong Kong Cricket Club Representative - Mr Michael Jamieson
- Kowloon Cricket Club Representative - Mr Simon Scanlon
- Little Sai Wan Cricket Club Representative - Mr Sohail Murshed
- Pakistan Association Representative - Mr Alex Ilyas Muhammad
- Independent Teams Representative - Mr John Wright
- Women's Cricket Representative - Mrs Alice Jones
- Association of Cricket Umpires & Scorers (Hong Kong, China) Representative - Mr Roger Nissim
- League & Cup Match Committee Chairman - Mr Shane Sibraa
The Chairman thanked the out-going members of the Executive Committee, namely Mr Tony Turner, Mr Nasir Khusro and Mr Ghulam Saqlain, for their contributions and service to Hong Kong cricket. HKCA Hon. Secretary Mr John Cribbin proposed a motion that Mr Tony Turner be made a Vice President of the HKCA in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Hong Kong cricket over many years and the members accepted this.
In other business, the Chairman noted that the HKCA was going through a period of change. As part of this change he said that plans were underway to rebrand the image of the HKCA and that in the near future it would adopt the name of "Cricket Hong Kong". Further details of the HKCA's rebranding exercise will be passed to members in due course.
