The Hong Kong Cricket Association is now seeking applications for a newly created position of Chief Executive Officer to oversee the promotion, expansion and development of cricket in Hong Kong. A job description for the position is as follows:
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
To enable ongoing promotion, expansion and development of cricket in the HKSAR, the Hong Kong Cricket Association is now recruiting a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Working with the Chairman and Executive Committee, the successful candidate will review the current structure and revenue streams of the Association to improve internal efficiencies, as well as ensure superior standards in all sectors of the game and increased participation from the local community.
Responsibilities:
- provide administrative direction for the Association
- determine future alignment with the sport in China
- oversee all aspects of the sport's Hong Kong representation internationally
- oversee effective management of the sport at a domestic level
- manage the budgeting and financial planning process
- ensure legal compliance and governance of the Association
- identify marketing opportunities and secure new revenue streams
- oversee the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes
- manage and develop the office and Coaches
- develop and implement a business plan and business practices within the Association.
Requirements:
- at least 10 years' experience in a commercial sports environment
- collaborative approach and an appreciation for the workings of an NFP
- general management and operational experience with P&L responsibility
- proven ability to identify and obtain potential sponsors and/or marketing partners
- experience working in Hong Kong or Asia Pacific would be preferred.
