Hong Kong slip to 69-run loss to Bermuda in Dubai

A disappointing all round performance by Hong Kong saw them slip to a 69-run loss to Bermuda in the second round of matches at the ICC World Cricket League Division 2 in Dubai.

Bermuda won the toss and elected to bat in fine and hot conditions with temperatures touching 35˚C during the day. Bermuda posted a competitive 242-7 from their 50 overs with Jason Anderson scoring 106 not out and Lionel Cann 50. Hong Kong's middle-order faltered against Bermuda's spinners and they were dismissed for 173 in 41.3 overs. Skipper Najeed Amar was the best of the Hong Kong batsmen, scoring a hard fought 49 while Roy Lamsam hit 40 at the top of the order.
