Hong Kong U15 beat Singapore U15 by 15 runs
The Hong Kong Under-15 cricket team has beaten the visiting Singapore Under-15 cricket team by 15 runs in the first of two matches between the sides played at Kai Tak cricket ground.

The Hong Kong Under-15 cricket team has beaten the visiting Singapore Under-15 cricket team by 15 runs in the first of two matches between the sides played at Kai Tak cricket ground.
Hong Kong's victory was based around an inspired innings by their captain Anshuman Rath who scored 86 from 96 balls out of a total of 171 all out in 37.2 overs. Anshuman's innings included 11 boundaries. There were no other innings of substance from the Hong Kong batsmen, although Jawaid Hamza (13), Ninad Shah (17) and Ishaq Ibraheem (14) made useful contributions. For Singapore, Archit Goenka claimed 4-7 from 3.2 overs while Navin Param picked up 3-35 from 8 overs.
In reply, Singapore could only muster 156 all out in 38 overs with Karthik Suresh top scoring with an unbeaten 41 from 56 balls, including 5 fours and 1 six. Chirath Gunasinghe (15), Sanat Deshpande (15) and Abhay Charan (19) played good hands but it was wides (40) that made the next best contribution to Singapore's total. For Hong Kong, Navpreet Singh claimed 2-18 from his four overs, while Mohammad Ghazanfar picked up 2-7 from his four overs.
