Lancashire League: McGarrell blow for Church
The Lancashire Evening Telegraph
Church professional Neil McGarrell is set to miss the first three
games of the Lancashire League season.
The West Indian slow left-armer missed out on the final World Cup 15.
But he is on stand-by for the series of seven one-day internationals
against Australia in the Caribbean and is expected to feature in at
least two.
And that will keep him out of England until the week commencing April
26.
Barnoldswick CC have signed Pakistani Raja Arshad for the new season.
The 32-year-old played with Stockport in the Central Lancashire
League last season. Arshad has represented Pakistan in the Hong Kong
Sixes tournament.
He is a right hand bat, medium pace bowler and has a reputation as a
fine fielder.
