Liyanage and Silva head BCCSL Domestic Cricket Ratings

Police Sports Club wicket-keeper batsman Niroshan Liyanage and BRC fast bowler Priyankara Silva head the latest BCCSL Domestic Ratings produced by Cricinfo.com.

Liyanage, a 32-year-old right-hand batsman, who has been in superb form scoring three fifties and one century so far in the Premier League season, has an average match score of 758 points.

Antonians wicket-keeper batsman Suren Anthony, playing his first season in the Premier League (641 points) and Tamil Union all-rounder Upul Chandana (622 points) lie in second and third position in the batting ratings.

Priyankara Silva, a 26-year-old right-arm fast bowler, tops the bowling table with an average of 1080 points per game. Former Sri Lanka all-rounder Chandika Haturusinghe lies in second place with 874 points per game.

The BCCSL Domestic Ratings, which are produced by CricInfo.com, were first produced in 2002 to evaluate the performance of cricketers in the Premier League.

The ratings weight performances according the quality of the opposition and reward players for consistency.
