Karachi, Aug 3: Pakistan captain Moin Khan returned home late
Wednesday morning from London after undergoing knee treatment. The
pugnacious wicketkeeper, however, said he would join the training
camp, currently under progress at the National Stadium, from Monday.
He said former Pakistan team physiotherapist, Dale Naylor, who
supervized his exercises in England, has advised him one week complete
rest. He said Naylor has allowed him to resume light training from
Monday.
Moin said he was regularly receiving injections as the specialist, Dr
David Rees, decided against knee surgery. He said he was given the
last injection three days ago with two more to follow, which he will
get in the next 10 days.
The skipper said he has made himself available for the Singapore tour
but added that until he was satisfied with his fitness, he would not
like to risk his injury.
"Let me resume the camp on Monday and check my knee. I will inform the
board and the selectors about his fitness level before they sit to
finalize the team," he said.
The Pakistan team for the Singapore triangular will be announced on
Aug 10. South Africa and New Zealand are the other participating teams
in the competition.
