The HKCA has introduced a new website that showcases the various cricket grounds in Hong Kong and provides an online booking request system for some of them. The new website can be viewed at URL
https://www.crickethk.com.
For each ground, there is detailed information provided such as the ground address and a list of facilities available. There is also a map and satellite imagery provided courtesy of Google Maps.
For the Kai Tak Cricket Ground, an online booking request system has been added. This will be expanded to include the Po Kong Village Road Reservoir ground when this ground becomes available for cricket later in the year (expected November 2010).
Clubs and organisations will be able to make ground booking requests for these grounds via the new system. Once a booking request is received, the HKCA will verify whether the ground is available and advise the booking person via return email. Once the ground availability is verified, the booking club or organisation must submit their ground fee payment by the required payment due date. Ground fees are currently set at HK$500 for a half-day match booking (up to 4 hours) and HK$1,000 for a full-day match booking (over 4 hours). Payments can be made by cheque or direct transfer. An additional HK$250 charge will be made for bookings that start at 0730hrs. Once payment is received, HKCA will confirm the ground booking.
The Kai Tak Cricket Ground is available for booking from 0730hrs to 1930hrs every day.
Cricket clubs participating in HKCA managed leagues will be able to make ground booking requests within 7 days of the required usage date while other clubs and organisations will be required to make booking requests 14 days in advance of the required usage date.
