Saritha bowls over Aravinda

The sun had set over Colombo last Saturday when at St.Theresa's Church, Thimbirigasyaya, a Land Cruiser drove into the compound. Out stepped Aravinda de Silva in his cricket track suit, apparently after practice with his bride to be, model Saritha.

With them were Alex Kontouri, the Sri Lanka cricket team physiotherapist, Aravinda's dad Sam and, the burly long haired rock singer of yesteryear, Alston Koch.

Inside the church, Aravinda, devoid of all the big names he could have had as witnesses promised to have and to hold Saritha as his wife for the rest of his life. She promised to do the same 'till death did them part'.

Aravinda has been in the limelight ever since he played cricket for his school D.S.Senanayake MV - so has Saritha a professional fashion model.
