Schedule for U-19 Grade-1 One-day tournament

Lahore, October 6: The Under-19 Grade-1 one-day cricket tournament will begin on Monday with 10 associations to vie for top honours.

Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) and Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) are fielding two teams while Quetta, Bahawalpur, Sheikhupura, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Kohat and Fata are the other participating teams.

The 12 teams have been equally divided into three pools with the top teams qualifying for the single league of the triangular stage to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium between Oct 17 and 19. Top two teams of the triangular stage will appear in the Oct 21 final.

The following are the pools:

Pool A: KCCA Whites, KCCA Blues, Bahawalpur and Quetta.

Pool B: LCCA Whites, LCCA Blues, Sheikhupura and Islamabad

Pool C: Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Kohat and Fata

Oct 7: KCCA Whites v KCCA Blues at KCCA Stadium; Bahawalpur v Quetta at National Stadium; LCCA Whites v LCCA Blues at Gaddafi Stadium; Sheikhupura v Islamabad at Sheikhupura Stadium; Rawalpindi v Peshawar at Pindi Stadium; Kohat v Fata at Arbab Niaz Stadium

Oct 9: KCCA Whites v Bahawalpur at UBL Ground One; KCCA Blues v Quetta at National Stadium; Sheikhupura v LCCA Whites at Sheikhupura Stadium; Islamabad v LCCA Blues at Gaddafi Stadium; Peshawar v Fata at Arbab Niaz Stadium; Rawalpindi v Kohat at Pindi Stadium.

Oct 11: KCCA Blues v Bahawalpur at National Stadium; KCCA Whites v Quetta at NBP Sports Complex; LCCA Whites v Islamabad at Shalimar Ground, Islamabad; LCCA Blues v Sheikhupura at Gaddafi Stadium; Peshawar v Kohat at Arbab Niaz Stadium; Rawalpindi v Fata at Pindi Stadium.

Oct 17: A v B
Oct 18: B v C
Oct 19: A v C
Oct 21: final

Meanwhile, the first semifinal of the Under-19 Grade-III one-day tournament will also be played on Monday. Nawabshah take on Killa Abdullah Chamman at Nawabshah Stadium. The pool D championship match will be played between Sahiwal v Bhakar at Biscuit Factory ground, Sahiwal. The winner will play Nowshehra. The date and venue will be announced later.
