Sri Lanka Clubs: Rajasingham president of Colts CC

An unprecedented crowd of members collected on Sunday evening to support the contest for President at the 125th AGM of Colts Cricket Club between M.W. Rajasingham and Shanthi Wijesinghe. Keenly contested and almost evenly balanced the secret balloting went on in well disciplined style with Rajasingham coming off successfully defeating Wijesinghe 74 to 73 votes. Tita Nathanielsz Patron of the Club conducted the contest as chairman pro-tem. He used the opportunity to pay tribute to Gamini Goonesena the out-going President for an exceptionally skilful period of chief stewardship of the Club during which time the Club showed tremendous success and improvement.
