The visiting Old Cranleighars Cricket from Middlesex held Old
Trinitians Sports Club to a 'No Decision' in a limited over cricket
match played at the Asgiriya Stadium.
In reply to visiting team's 178 all out, the Old Trinitians were
crusing towards victory with the scoreboard reading 87 for no loss in
only 15 overs when a heavy shower prevented any further play.
For the Old Trinitians former Antonian cricketer Jayampathy
Weerasekera showed that he has not lost any of his power by capturing
4 for 20 and former Sri Lanka player Bernard Perera took 2 for 9.

Two aggressive knocks by Thusitha Bandara 86 (12 fours) and Sarath
Dharmasena 87 (14 fours) helped Diyatillake Central College,
Hanguranketha to become champions at the inaugural Triangular limited
over cricket tournament for S.B. Dissanayake Challenge trophy donated
by the Minister of Sports when they defeated Poramadulla Central
College, Rikillagaskada by 120 runs in the finals played before a
large at the Reservoir grounds, Hanguranketha.
