St Sylvester's to India

St. Sylvester's College who had a highly successful cricket season and were also selected as the best team in the Central Province has been rewarded with a tour to India on the invitation of the Tamil Nadu Schools Cricket Association.

They will leave for Tamil Nadu on Thursday, August 26 where they will play a series of matches.

The touring team will comprise: Ranga Dissanayake (capt.), Arosha Perera, T.P. Liyanage, Chanaka Wijesinghe, Harsha Wijeratne, Chamila Ratnayake, S. Mahatotarachchi, Ranga Lihindipita, A. Ulundupita, J.K. Weerasinghe, N.N.K. Dissanayake, Abdul Basith, R. Lokuge, G. Dharmasena, S. Ratnayake, K. Udawatte, C. Ranaweera, Coach Roland Perera, prefect of Games Chandra Mahawattige, Mic. L.B. Dissanayake.
