STUART CHOSEN TO REPLACE INJURED AMBROSE
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados - Guyanese paceman Colin Stuart was on
Wednesday called up to replace the injured Curtly Ambrose in
West Indies` 13-man squad for Saturday`s one-day international
against World Cup champions Sri Lanka.
Ambrose, spearhead of West Indies` pace attack, pulled out
because of a hamstring injury.
Stuart, 22, took six wickets for a West Indies Board XI in
their three-day match against New Zealand which ended on
Wednesday.
West Indies squad: Courtney Walsh (captain), Philo Wallace,
Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Brian Lara, Phil Simmons, Roland Holder,
Jimmy Adams, Courtney Browne, Roger Harper, Laurie Williams, Ian
Bishop, Stuart Williams, Colin Stuart.
