National Bank came from behind to defeat ADBP by seven wickets to
secure their place in the final of the Patron's Trophy Grade-I
tournament on Monday.
According to details available, National Bank, who were set a target
of 156, romped home with a day to spare at Saga Ground in Sialkot.
Skipper Sajid Ali led the way with a blistering knock of 50 off just
39 balls with seven fours and two sixes.
Earlier, ADBP crashed to 146 all out in their second innings on an
action-packed day with 16 wickets falling.
Lanky fast bowler Shabbir Ahmed caused the slide with four for 58. He
received excellent support from fellow pacers Aleem Musa (three for
32) and the left-armer Zahid Saeed (three for 40).
National Bank conceded a slender nine-run lead after being restricted
to 231 in their first innings to reply to ADBP's 240.
By virtue of this win, National Bank picked up nine crucial points to
top the Grade-I standings with a tally of 45 points.
