Hi,
I am an Indian graduate student in the US and am a big-time cricket and trivia
buff. I found your page very interesting - it was fascinating and heartening to see that the game lives in some quite exotic places!
I chanced upon a web page of Haverford College in Pennsylvania, USA (which is
about 15 minutes drive from my place!). It seems that the college has a great
cricket library (the CC Morris Cricket Library) and was one of the last places in the US where all American-born players played cricket till it slowly died away in the 1920's. Other articles about the conflict between baseball & cricket and Cricket in America provide fascinating asides. I found it extremely
interesting. I plan to visit the library sometime.

Hi,
I really enjoy reading the articles that you manage to gather from some
remarkable locations. I once had to do a geography assignment on any
topic, and I decided to do it on the spread of cricket around the world,
its influences and why it has failed in other areas.
After doing that assignment I completely understand the difficulties that
you must face, and am in awe of the result. I didn't have the luxury of
email even though it was less than 10 years ago (something else to be in awe of) but then in many countries that you find information on, email
access is not exactly a priority! Well done.

Hello,
I am a serious follower of cricket and going through the cricket.org site
for long time. One thing I found was you are not making any arrangements to
make your newsletter available regularly. Kindly write regularly about the
cricket world and do the needful to make it available.

Hi.
This is the first time I have ever read your edition (the 18th) and
that's because my ISP is not that up to the mark. But I'll say this:
it's great!!
Is there any way I could receive this by email (like CricInfo 365)???
I really would appreciate it if there is such a service available.

Dear Tony,
I have just discovered your website, and I must commend you to keep up the good work.
I am a very enthusiastic cricket player and follower, and I would like
to state categorically that Nigeria deserves to have an independent
affiliation with ICC.
For time immemorial, we have been saddled with the burden of playing
under the West African umbrella despite the fact that over 90% of the team
is always Nigerian!
History was made in 1994 when the MCC side visited Nigeria. The first
game was played against a full fledged Nigerian side, and we beat them
convincingly! This was a very significant achievement in the history of
Nigerian cricket, and subsequent games were played as the WACC side, and
we lost both games. By simple logic, the West African side is supposed
to be stronger than the Nigerian side, but the exact opposite is the
case.
The fact of the matter is that from the quality of the Nigerian game,
there is very little that differentiates our potentials from other
countries with rising profiles like Kenya, Bangladesh and Holland. Once
we can gain our autonomity, then we can raise our game to that next
level...Hopefully, we will get to see a bit of that potential at the
Africa Cup championships in Nairobi in February.
