INDIA v WEST INDIES 1994-95

At Jaipur, November 11. India won by five runs. Toss: India.

Tendulkar scored his third limited-overs century in two months, following his 115 against New Zealand a fortnight earlier and 110 against Australia in September. He was named Man of the Series, in which he amassed 246, despite two noughts. Tendulkar put on 95 with Jadeja and 117 with Kambli and India raced to 212 for one after Lara, leading West Indies as Walsh rested, put them in. The middle order lost momentum, however, and the tourists' target was a reachable 260. Despite losing the openers cheaply, Lara, Hooper and Adams gave them a chance. But once Adams and Hooper - who scored 84 from 88 balls - fell in successive overs, no-one could get Raju's left-arm spin away on a helpful pitch.

Man of the Match: C. L. Hooper. Man of the Series: S. R. Tendulkar.
