Second One-Day International

Zimbabwe v Australia 1999-2000

At Harare, October 23. Australia won by nine wickets. Toss: Australia.
Zimbabwe's batting was embarrassed to such an extent that Steve Waugh briefly lined up all nine fieldsmen in an arc from slips to point, probably a first in one-day cricket. The home side had crashed to 98 for nine in Fleming's final over, the 33rd of the innings, and No. 11 Mutendera had just come in when Waugh gradually called his players into the cordon. Fleming finished with three for 14, which included three wides and a no-ball, from his ten overs. Needing a mere 117, Australia lost only Gilchrist as they won with more than 21 overs to spare. Mark Waugh led the way again, with an unbeaten fifty.
Man of the Match: D. W. Fleming.
