Twenty20 International, Rajkot

India v Australia, 2013-14

At Rajkot, October 10, 2013 (floodlit). India won by six wickets. Toss: India. Twenty20 international debut: N. J. Maddinson.
Yuvraj Singh, looking ten years younger for a summer's intensive training in France, marked his latest comeback with a rumbustuous innings to haul India up to their second-highest run-chase in Twenty20. Their initial response had been steady rather than spectacular, and they required nearly 12 an over from the last nine when Yuvraj was joined by Dhoni. But Rajkot, one of the highest scoring grounds in the world, is no place to be a bowler, and Yuvraj hit 13 of his 35 balls to the boundary, with a freedom of movement not seen since being diagnosed with cancer in early 2012. Australia's batsmen had shown no mercy to Ashwin: Finch and his 21-year-old opening partner Nic Maddinson deposited his first over for 17, and Maxwell launched three sixes in his second. But the prospect of an unreachable target subsided after Finch knocked a low full toss straight back to Vinay Kumar. Australia made only 27 from their last 21 balls - small fry in the circumstances.
Man of the Match: Yuvraj Singh.
