Little Sai Wan women's captain and Hong Kong national team cricketer Keenu Gill, 17, has been named Vice Captain of the Hong Kong Women's National Team by the National Selectors.
"Keenu is a talented young batsman who has a good understanding of the game, two international tours under her belt and is skippering her club in the domestic competition. As we look forward to the ACC introducing a new U19 national tournament and the ultimate goal of qualifying for the next Women's World Cup in a few years time, so Keenu being Vice Captain under Neisha Pratt will provide invaluable experience for her," said Women's Selector Julie Atkinson.
"It's a big honour for me to be made Vice Captain of the team," said Keenu, "I'll do my best for Hong Kong in my new role."
The Hong Kong Women's national squad is currently in a selection process and is expected to be announced later this month.
The Hong Kong women have won 4 matches out of 6 so far this year and were knocked out at semi final stage by Bangladesh at the inaugural ACC Women's Cricket Tournament staged in Malaysia in July.
