Deccan Chargers have added five domestic players - Abhishek Jhunjhunwala, Tekkami Atchuta Rao Syed Quadri, Veer Pratap Singh and Sneha Kishore - to their squad for the 2012 IPL.

Middle-order batsman Jhunjhunwala, 29, who has played for the Pune Warriors and Rajasthan Royals in past seasons, and medium pacer Veer both play for Bengal. The 19-year-old Pratap made his first-class debut in December 2011, taking 2 for 66 in the first innings against Delhi.

Quadri, 30, was Hyderabad's second leading scorer in the Ranji Trophy this season, with 390 runs at an average of 65. He was part of the Royals squad in 2010. Allrounder Atchuta Rao, 25, had an impressive Ranji season for Andhra, leading his side with 19 wickets at an average of 17.84.

His domestic team-mate, the 18-year-old Kishore, made his List A debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy last month. According to a statement from the Chargers, Kishore was "hand-picked" by former India left-arm spinner Venkatapathy Raju, who tested a total of six left-arm spinners from around the country.

"Our focus is primarily to discover and groom young talent from the domestic circuit," Venkat Reddy, the chief operating officer of the Chargers, said. "These players will provide more depth and variety to the Deccan Chargers squad."

I am a Hyderabadi ad loved DC during the first 2 IPL seasons but have lost utter hope in the DC team and selection.just look at the other team they have atleast 2 hitters who can hit long but DC is stuck with useless cricketers who can't add spark to the match nor can they bring any intensity to the game or the fans. DC can never, ever win the title again it was only because of Gilly that they have won otherwise this team is a bunch of jokers. i rather watch cricket with neutral head will support all teams except DC..........people understand its not cricket its entertainment...its only cricket when nations play against each other...

wow nice to see that DC are doing their homework properly & apporiatly.. well done keep it... when then relised ojha i thought they dont have proper 2nd spinner.. but now since by seeing the form of duminy they can rely on amit misra and JP ..regards to Jhunjhunwala addition is excellent has heaps of experiience to bring with him and its good they are have signed Qadri he will be good in local condition and they have also included local boys thats good.... re VP singh i hope he will be OK DC and he can learned a lot this DC and since he is young he can be future investment..now the main task for DC will be to put the rite combination of playing 11.whenever i see sanga, dumni and d christian scores i feel happy coz they are DC players and i hope they will continue their form during this IPL-GOODLUCK DC-WELL IM NOT KIDDING IF I CAN BE OF ANY HELP TO DC I WILL BE GLAD TO GET ASSOCIATE WITH THEM... I GOT 28 YEARS OF GULF EXPERIENCE AND IM NOT A QUALIFIED COACH BUT CAN BE VERY HELPFUL TO DC

Rajnish- Good search from Deccan Chargers, Veer pratap singh ''Moni'' is still a new in domestic circuit, and he just played two Ranji Trophy matches in his debut session 2011-2012, but he is a future prospect for indian cricket, he is a fast bowler and he can bat too, so he improved his game with world known players in IPL . GoodL Luck Bihari boy,, from Nalanda(CHANDI-PARWALPUR).
