49 Royal Challengers Bangalore's total - the lowest in IPL history. The previous lowest was by Rajasthan Royals, who were bowled out for 58 in the opening game of IPL 2009 in Cape Town. On this day four years ago, Royal Challengers recorded the highest IPL total - 263 against Pune Warriors, achieved on the back of Chris Gayle's 175. Royal Challengers' 49 is the tenth smallest total in all T20s.

9.4 Overs in which Royal Challengers were bowled out - the second-shortest T20 innings. The previous shortest was Bangladesh club Mohammedan's 42 all out in 8.4 overs in 2013. Mumbai Indians held the previous shortest IPL innings - 87 in 12.5 overs - against Kings XI Punjab in 2011.

1 This is the first instance in the IPL where no batsman got into double digits. Kedar Jadhav top scored with nine for Royal Challengers.

2 This was only the second occasion where all 20 wickets fell in an IPL match. The first was between Deccan Chargers and Rajasthan Royals in Nagpur in 2010.

5 Instances of all ten wickets taken by fast bowlers in an IPL innings. Those to have achieved this apart from Knight Riders are: Mumbai Indians (twice), Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

82 Knight Riders' victory margin - the highest for a team defending less than 150 in the IPL.

Dont you mean 'five pillars of Indian cricket'? Dravid, Ganguly, Tendulkar, Laxman, Kumble.

Hi Veearsena, I completely agree with you. Being an indian, i dn't want to see this kohli as a captain. There is a marginal difference for aggressive and being aggressive. Not sure why coaching staff is not telling him. Feeling sad that, these youngsters will never replace the big Four pillars of indian cricket.

Nobody believes Kohli is RCB and Team India captain. The way he behaves on and off field looks very ugly. Such a high profile player should not behave like this. He has to improve his temperament and attitude very quickly, otherwise he will loose every thing as an international player. He is the most indisciplined player in the world. A game means is not winning or loosing, it is Winning the game with the great game spirit is the best. Loosing game with the great game spirit is best for the great players .

Kohli needs to play sensible cricket not plain idiotic attacking cricket. It may win you games, but, overdoing it can be disastrous!

Rain may have freshened up the pitch and Kohli missed a trick may be who knows in opting to chase.

Well that was awesome bowling specially pace as a unit we might have seen in the total IPL's upto this day. Yes once in a while one bowler or couple of bowlers stand out but as a unit, i would this is one up there at the top. I really appreciate all the bowlers who responded so well to their captains call and delivered what he believed that we can still defend this total and he proved right. With all due respect to Coulter-Nile and Woakes but to me the best bowler was Umesh Yadav even though he does not have wickets to show to his name, infact he might have had a few if not for the dropped catches or some sloppy fielding but in the context of the game and when seen in the right perspective many would agree with me. How in comparison to the 18 balls both opening bowlers bowled and see what those did and how each was bowled, on that very aspect i would say Umesh was far superior, more accurate more wicket taking than his opening partner but results didnt show thats how cruel the game is.

now it is very clear which I am telling since last one year that Kohli is not a captainship material he shud be removed immediately He does not have temperament and attitude He is of Ganguli class the most indisciplined player in the world

RCB batmen were no match for the KKR pacers. Gambhir didnt even get a chance to bring in his spin force! His main pace duo-Coulter-Nile and Umesh shattered the first half of the RCB batting and the second pace duo polished off the middle and lower order of RCB.

Take a bow KKR pacers! What a match. One of the best matches this IPL.

Cheer up, it's not as bad as one might think - there's 9 lower scores in all T20s! . . Then again, who would have thought that Narine scored almost half of RCB's total in the opening over of the match?! . . If you take the scorecard and view it sideways, RCB's innings looks like a phone number, albeit a very long number. There's international dialler and country code info in there too, you see.
