On the 25th anniversary of India's victory in the 1983 World Cup final, Gambhir and Sehwag opened with 127 in 14.3 overs, then Dhoni (who hit six fours and six sixes from 96 balls) put the game far beyond Hong Kong during a fourth-wicket stand of 166 in 20 overs with Raina, who reached his hundred in 66 balls, hitting seven fours and five sixes. Only Mohammad Azharuddin (62 balls against New Zealand at Baroda in 1988-89) had made a faster century in one-day internationals for India.
