Hong Kong have progressed to the semi-final stages of the ACC Under-19 Elite Cup 2011 after beating Malaysia by 15 runs today. After a poor batting effort saw Hong Kong dismissed for 119, Man of the Match Maxwell Tucker grabbed 5-24 to lift Hong Kong to a nerve-wracking victory.

By virtue of their victory, Hong Kong finished ahead of Qatar on run-rate to top Group A and they will now face Afghanistan in one semi-final to be played in Bangkok on 8th February. The other semi-final will see Nepal take on Qatar. Winners of the two semi-finals will contest the final on 9th February with both teams also gaining entry to the ICC Under-19 World Cup Qualifier.
