India v Zimbabwe, 2013

Wisden's review of the fifth ODI, India v Zimbabwe, 2013

15-Apr-2014
At Bulawayo, August 3, 2013. Fifth one-day international: India won by seven wickets. Zimbabwe 163 (39.5 overs) (H. Masakadza 32, S. C. Williams 51; A. Mishra 6-48); ‡India 167-3 (34 overs) (S. Dhawan 41, A. M. Rahane 50, R. A. Jadeja 48*). MoM: A. Mishra. Zimbabwe made four changes, but the final match followed a familiar pattern. They lost early wickets, floundered against a now unstoppable Mishra - whose 6-48 were the fifth-best figures for India in one-day internationals - then offered the tourists little more than batting practice. Jarvis, perhaps slighted at being left out of the previous two games, bowled with pace and direction, and took 2-18. It would be his final international game before retiring and joining Lancashire as a Kolpak. Taylor's miserable series concluded with a third duck, a dropped catch, and a fluffed chance to run out Ajinkya Rahane. He survived to compile a neat fifty, and Ravindra Jadeja sealed the whitewash with a six.
