They lost early wickets, floundered against a now unstoppable Mishra - whose 6-48 were the fifth-best figures for India in one-day internationals - then offered the tourists little more than batting practice. Jarvis, perhaps slighted at being left out of the previous two games, bowled with pace and direction, and took 2-18. It would be his final international game before retiring and joining Lancashire as a Kolpak. Taylor's miserable series concluded with a third duck, a dropped catch, and a fluffed chance to run out Ajinkya Rahane. He survived to compile a neat fifty, and Ravindra Jadeja sealed the whitewash with a six.
